Your SSE Riga Google account requires that you set up Multi-Factor Authentication before you can start using it.
Log in to your SSE Riga Google account. After submitting your username and password, you will be asked to up 2-Step Verification. Click Enroll.
If you do not receive this notification, go to https://myaccount.google.com/security, make sure you are logged in with your SSE Riga account and, under How you sign in to Google, click on 2-Step Verification.
On the next screen, your current account security settings will be displayed. Here you can set up MFA using one of two different methods:
To use an authenticator app, click Add authenticator app.
To receive codes to your phone number via SMS, click Turn on 2-Step Verification or Add a mobile phone number.
Click Add authenticator app.
On the next screen, you will be informed about authenticator apps and how to set them up. Click Set up authenticator.
If you already have an authenticator app on your phone, you can use that one.
On the next screen, a QR code will be displayed. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
The specific steps to add a new account in your authenticator app might differ based on the app.
When you have scanned the code and added the new account to your authenticator app, click Next.
On the next screen, enter the 6-digit code shown in your authenticator app and click Verify.
You will see a confirmation that an authenticator app has been set up. Your Multi-Factor Authentication setup is now complete. You can proceed to using your SSE Riga Google account.
Click Turn on 2-Step Verification or Add a phone number.
If asked, select Receive codes by text message.
Provide your mobile phone number and click Next. Confirm your phone number and click Save.
You will receive a confirmation that 2-Step Verification has been enabled. Click Done.
You will see a confirmation that the phone number has been successfully added to your account. Your Multi-Factor Authentication setup is now complete. You can proceed to using your SSE Riga Google account.
