Password Management

Below you will find information on how to update your SSE Riga account password.

Note: If this is your first time accessing your SSE Riga account, updating your SSE Riga account password is a mandatory step before you can access your SSE Riga account.

Note: If you have not yet set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your SSE Riga Microsoft account, you will need to do so before updating your account password. For detailed instructions on how to enable MFA for your SSE Riga Microsoft account, check How To - MFA - Microsoft.

Updating your SSE Riga account password

• Go to the SSE Riga Microsoft account page at https://myaccount.microsoft.com/

Note: If you are automatically logged into a personal/work Microsoft account, use the following link in a different browser or private window to access your SSE Riga Microsoft account - https://login.microsoftonline.com/?whr=sseriga.edu

• Log in using the following credentials:

  • Username - Your SSE Riga email address

  • Password - Your current SSE Riga account password

• Select Change Password

• In the Change your password window, type in and confirm your new password.

• The password requirements are:

  • Password must be at least 12 characters long

  • Password must contain at least 3 out of 4 of the following - lowercase letters, uppercase letters, digits, symbols

  • Password must not be easily guessable or commonly used

• Click Submit

You have successfully updated your SSE Riga account password!

You can now use your new password to access SSE Riga IT services such as SSE Riga email address and SSE Riga E-Learning platform.
