PCLab (Room 511) on 5th floor is a free study space for all SSE Riga students. There you will find several PCs, heavy-duty printer, a white board and free space for your study work. All of this can be used to help you in your study processes.
PCLab is available for all students during working hours (from 6:00 till 22:00) and is closed for night. It is closed during holidays as well.
Please note that the PCLab is a shared study space for all students to utilize. Keep your study space clean and efficient and don't make any permanent changes to the equipment. Use trash bin and a special bin for waste paper. If something is broken inform IT department or Facility Manager.
If you need markers for whiteboard you can get them at the reception. If printer is out of paper you should notify IT department or Reception.

In PCLab you will find several PCs for study work. All of them have Windows 10 with Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, Chrome and Firefox installed so you can use them for everyday study tasks.
Computers located on counters are ideal for fast jobs like printing lecture notes or checking grades on E-Learning Platform. These computers are already logged in with shared accounts and you do not need to enter your own credentials. If necessary you can use them to do assignments as well but keep in mind that you are working on a shared account.
Computers located on tables are ideal for more involved of assignments and researches. Printing is available from these computers as well. Note: One of the PCLab computers (noted by a sticker) is equipped for work with Thomson Reuters Datastream. It can be used to access current and historical financial and economic information, including data on stocks, bonds, derivatives, currencies, trusts, macroeconomic issues etc. To access the Thomson Reuters Datastream:
During your studies at SSE Riga, you can print at PCLab using your SSE Riga account. PCLab has a heavy-duty black-and-white printer to ensure high availability of printing services. This printer is accessible from all computers in the PCLab by sending documents to SSE Riga PCLab printer.
Note: By default all print jobs are double-sided. If you want to print only on one side please remember to change the relevant setting in your application.
Note: When printing, make sure SSE Riga PCLab printer is set as the default printer. If it is not, select SSE Riga PCLab printer from the printing menu in your application.
